Bayern Munich Home Shirt 2017-18
Continuing the club’s long-standing partnership with adidas, the Bayern Munich Home Shirt 2017-18 continues the Bundesliga heavyweights’ storied legacy by reviving a winning image from the past.
In 1974, Bayern took to the field in predominantly red home jerseys, embellished by white striping, collar and sleeve cuffs. The style coincided with a rich run of form on the pitch, including three consecutive European Cup campaigns that saw the Bavarians advance all the way to the final.
In 2017-18, today’s trophy-chasing team will hope to be inspired by this bygone Bayern era - with the white stripes, collar and cuffs of yesteryear, as worn in the charge to the Intercontinental Cup success of 1976, effectively restored to create an affectionate retro look.
